Dehumidification does exactly what you’d expect – it removes humidity from the air, giving you a more comfortable living space. Especially in the warm months, excess humidity can accumulate in your home causing your HVAC system to work harder than it needs to and worsening seasonal allergies.

What are some indications that you may need to add a dehumidifier to your HVAC system? 

• Damp spots on ceilings or walls
• Mold growth
• Fog/condensation on windows or mirrors
• Feels sticky or stuffy inside

Conversely, humidification adds humidity to your home. If the humidity level in your home is less than 35%, you should consider adding a humidifier to your HVAC system. When humidity levels are too low, it can worsen dry skin, itchiness, and sore throats.
